I animated myself through my house and the city of Breda, the Netherlands. It took me 6 months to complete. That is mainly because of the weather. It wasn't always suitable to shoot my scenes. I produced this animation as a way of proposing to my girlfriend (now wife) Natasha. I assembled a team of 20 animators to assist me, including co-workers, as well as students from my 3D character animation class at the Art Institute of California-San Francisco. We created more than four minutes of animation in just three months. When it was completed, I surprised Natasha by bringing her to the Parkway Movie Theater in Oakland, where they played the animation on the big screen in front of over 100 of our friends and family. The entire event was filmed for the TLC television show "A Perfect Proposal." Director's Note: I pulled a George Lucas and retrofitted the opening shot of the animation to show a photo of the Natasha design from "The Invitation" rather than the earlier drawing of Natsha I had done, which I was never quite satisfied with. Also, after receiving many a tersely written emails, I finally decided to listen to the fans and have completely removed all scenes with Jar Jar Binks. FAQs: Q: "What software program did you use to create your animations?" A: All animation was done in Maya and edited together in Adobe After Effects. Tom Waits and Donna Gordon as the stripper, Performed for us live (at the La Brea stage in Hollywood, 1978), and rotoscoped - a process that traces back the live action frame by frame and turns it into animation. The original live action was shot with 5 cameras - 2 high, 2 low and one hand held. The music from "The One That Got Away" blared in the background as Tom sang karaoke style different lyrics on each take. Two strippers, Donna Gordon was the choice, 6 takes and 13 hours of video footage were edited to make a 5 1/2 minute live action short which we turned into animation. A total of 5,500 frames were caricatured and then re-drawn, inked by Mike Cressy and painted by hand onto celluloid acitate to produce this film. Produced by Lyon Lamb, directed by John Lamb, the film bore some cool new technology, talent ( David Silverman, producer and director of the Simpsons TV series, and director of the NEW Simpsons movie to be released in July of 2007, was our head animator and also his FIRST job as an animator) and was created specifically for a video music market that didn't yet exist . But the buzz was out and we went on to create what arguably may be the first music video created for the new and upcoming MTV market. A series of unfortunate events prohibited the film from ever being released or sold commercially, consequently catapulting it into obscurity... until now,thanks You Tube! In 1979, an Academy Award was presented to Lyon Lamb for the technology used in this short. The production materials (character sketches, layouts, storyboards, animation drawings and cels) are still amazingly intact and held in private hands. However, a few of the production elements managed to slip away over the last 28 years and occasionally, one of these rare gems can be found on ebay. When a university professor opens a forbidden scroll, he becomes possessed by the twin demons of THUNDER and LIGHTINING who seek to return to our world to wake their brothers, the dragons. HELLBOY, researcher KATE CORRIGAN and RUSSELL THORNE, an albino psychic, travel to Japan to investigate. HELLBOY finds THE SWORD OF STORMS which transports him to a world of Japanese folklore. Okay, it's not really animated or anything. Just....*Shrugs* I like the theme thing. Not sure when I'll have my next one up. I want to get new clips and new interviews. But here's one with clips from my favorite movie: Major Payne. I hope everyone likes it as much as I do. And I don't know if anyone noticed how much I pick on Tom...If you didn't, then stay that way. But if you did...I apologize to Tom lovers, but...It's just so much fun! I just realized all of my Tokio Hotel videos except one has Tom as the icon. Let me make this clear: I LIKE TOKIO HOTEL. Sure, I'm not their biggest fan, but I do like them. I don't make this out of spite. I make it for fun. I don't really understand much outside of German, Dutch, and English. I know a few words here and there of other languages, but I have no idea what you're saying if you post in a different language. If you want to post in a different language, put a smiley so I know whether or not you liked the vid. Of course, you could say: "I hate you! This video is stupid! I hope you die! :)" In French and I'd think you liked the video. ^_^ I just want to know what you guys are saying. And I didn't think I'd have to add this, either, but if you're going to flame me, don't 'act a fool' and yell at me for poking fun at Tokio Hotel, unless you yourself are a member of the band or a dear, personal friend. They're the only people who should be upset by the content of the video. Who knows? They could even think it's cute. You've no right to judge how offensive I'm being to them.

In 1939, young PROFESSOR BROOM destroyed ERZSEBET ONDRUSHKO, a female vampire that bathed in the blood of innocents to stay young. Now someone in upstate New York is trying to bring her back and the elderly Professor Broom has decided to investigate it himself. He takes the top BPRD agents, HELLBOY, LIZ SHERMAN and ABE SAPIEN and a new agent, SIDENY LEACH, who are more worried about his welfare than the return of any vampire. The song "Still Alive" is a little past it's prime today, and in fact I could have had this up in January, but I'd been trying since then to get usage permission from Valve software, with no response at all except some positive comment from songwriter Jonathan Coulton (Thanks John!). So - I'll just recommend that everyone who likes the music either buy the game Portal, or the music CD/track downloads from Amazon. Hope you enjoy the vid.

This was my first ever... and still my favorite... short animated film! I created it in my spare time while I was still a director/animator at the Richard Williams Studio in London during the late 1970's. I actually started the film after we had completed 'A Christmas Carol', when I was Richard Williams' own personal assistant at the time. 'Carol' went on to win the first of Dick's three Oscars. When my own 'Hokusai' film won a British Academy Award I moved on to set-up the 'Animus Productions' animation studio... a creative entity I led for a further 20 award-winning years. The film itself was inspired by the wonderful sketchbooks of Hokusai. When I saw them I realized that this artist was indeed a true animator at heart... he just didn't have the knowledge or the technology to be one in his lifetime. I therefore sought to bring his drawings to life for him, as homage to his genius.
