What I meant by "THIS IS COOL":
This WAS "cool" because I knew that the firefighters had it under control before it started, but NOT... "cool" because I wanted to see it get out of control. The vegitation on the hill was cut from the middle of the hill down and firefighters were covering all sides of the hill just in case something happened. I was a firefighter myself before I became a full time film maker, so I understood the procedure. Anyone leaving me hateful comments about saying "This is cool!" is just prejudgement and too ignorant to read this description... and THAT is NOT cool. Stay positive, because this video wasn't suppose to be any other way.
This was just MY experience on 4th of July and NO ONE was hurt.
WHAT HAPPENED?
During a city fireworks display on top of a hill that we call "Tarantula Hill", a firework shell misfired and landed in some near by vegetation. Luckily, the firefighters were prepared and the fire was quickly put out. Since I'm always armed with a camera, I had to share the moment while it lasted, but unfortunately I didn't capture the flash. I shot this video from the roof of my home.
In times like this, I sure miss being a firefighter! MeMoRiEs...
