Part 1 of 2. The Classic Game Room HD RESISTANCE 2 review. CGRHD reviews Resistance 2, the new first person shooter from Insomniac for the Playstation 3 PS3 video game console. Nathan Hale returns to fight the Chimera in America this time around. Resistance: Fall of Man came out a year or two ago and blew us away with its smooth gameplay, awesome storyline and tremendous FPS action. This R2 review shows that everything has improved. The sound effects, graphics, environment and action have somehow reached a new level of perfection. Although Resistance 2 has an improved multiplayer mode this part of the review covers the single player campaign mode. Controls are solid, the footage shows the action packed gameplay on the PS3 and the ferocity of the enemies who confront you. Your favorite weapons are back along with many new ones. The Bullseye, Laark and Auger just to name a few. R2 is a blast to play and this review has the best gameplay footage you're likely to find thanks to the CGRHD team of magic unicorns and video recording equipment. Resistance 2 is out now for the PS3. Highly recommended. This game is not likely to come out for the Xbox 360, Wii or Atari 2600 any time soon. Classic Game Room is the ultimate video game review show in the universe bringing you the best in new games and old school retro gaming classics. FIXED in firmware 1.50! PS1/PS2 upscaling in 1.80! But it's not REAL upscaling. Why? Cause the polygons themselves aren't rendered in high def, the entire image output is just put through a filter to make it look upscaled. The same method is used for upscaling DVD picture quality to 720p/1080i/1080p. ============================ The glitch shown in this video only occurs on firmwares earlier than 1.5! IBM Interactive Ray-tracer (iRT) using three Sony Playstation3s (PS3) to render a model that is 75x more complex then those used in today's games. Ray-tracing is the rendering technique used by the film industry and is considered to complex for today's game systems. The code was written using IBM Cell SDK 2.0 on Linux. The iRT is totally scalable and only requires one Cell SPE to run. More PS3s = More SPEs = Higher client frame rates. All images are at least 720p 4x multi-sampled, with dynamic light sources, procedurally generated atmosphere, and dynamic shadows. Sorry about the bad camera microphone. This video proves it! by just enabling RGB Full Range in Display Settings, the game will look the same as the 360 version. A)It works on all games, some you shall notice a huge difference, others not alot. I saw a big difference on Assassins Creed, Turok and some others. It mainly shows well on Cross platform titles, but exclusives it doesn't show as much (like Uncharted) Since the develoupers have clearly optermised it for the PS3.

This the same as my first vid of Fedora Linux on the PS3, but for all those with questions, I decided to do a version of the video with full voiceover explanations. And Ebay believes installing open source software on an open platform (as is stated on Sony's site) is a "copyright violation". Apparently they don't understand open source...so my auction of this unit was cancelled without notification. Thanks, Ebay...
