PLEASE SUSCRIBE! =) "Coming Up" was the opening track from Paul McCartney's McCartney II album, written by McCartney and released in 1980. Like the rest of the album, the song had a minimalist synthesized feel to it. It featured humourously-processed lead vocals from McCartney, who played all the instruments and shared harmonies with wife Linda. Despite his ambivalent feelings about McCartney's solo success, John Lennon was complimentary of this song, and it partially inspired Lennon's own 1980 comeback. "Coming Up" is also well known for its video. It is an early example of electronic trickery, with Paul McCartney playing ten roles and Linda McCartney playing two. The "band" features Paul and Linda's imitations of several famous rock musicians; some are more easily recognizable than others. The characters include Hank Marvin (guitar), Mick Fleetwood (drums), Ron Mael of Sparks (keyboards), a, 'Mania-Era' version of Beatle Paul (bass and backing vocals), Andy MacKay (sax), Frank Zappa (sax), as well as a long-haired guitarist (strongly resembling Neil Young), two sax players and a male backing singer (performed by Linda) that have yet to be identified with any certainty. A son goes to his mother with a compelling secret. Will she understand? A quirky comedy recently given it's first terrestial TV viewing on BBC2's See Hear programme, on 23rd January 2008. Written by Charlie Swinbourne and directed by Louis Neethling (who also directed BBC2's 'Switch'), Coming Out has won numerous awards since it was filmed in the space of one day in South London, in the last days of 2006. The film was made for the London Deaf Film Festival and premiered in January 2007. It stars David Hay, Debbie Norman and Ilan Dwek. The film has so far played at film festivals over the world and went on to win the prestigious Clin d'Oleil European Video award in Rheims, France in the summer of 2007, then Best Foreign Film at the 1st Finnish Deaf Film Festival 2007, and finally won Best British Film at DEAFFEST in Wolverhampton, UK in November 2007. Coming Out was made in association with AC2.com and the British Deaf Association. The young man who joined the army did so of his own free will. He was 20 years old and his parents played no part in his decision to serve his country. They are proud to have such a brave son. All of the wonderful messages that I have received are being forwarded to Heather and her mother. Heather loves to sing. Since she was small she has always tried to get to the microphone first at church so she could sing. She always loved karaoke and would beg for the mic. She still loves singing more than just about anything. Heather loves her brother and misses him. She has many memories of him. He comes home every chance he gets and will probably get to come home for a short time in February or March. Before I truned on the camera Heather was really acting silly and laughing.
