Last night was the music industry's big night in Hollywood. The 50th Annual Grammy Awards produced few surprises. Let's listen in for more.
Legendary crooner Tony Bennett and Natalie Cole handed the "Best Record of the Year" award to Amy Winehouse for "Back to Black."
"Best Song of the Year" winner was also Winehouse for the chart-topping tune "Rehab." And to top it off Winehouse also walked away with "Best New Artist" of the year. It was an emotional night for her to say the least.

"To Ray Ray and Joe, ten years this year, Ray Ray and Joe. To Mark Ronson and Salon Remy. To my mum and dad. For my Blake, my Blake incarcerated. And for London, this is for London, cause Camden Town is burning down."
The "Best Album of the Year" award went to Herbie Hancock for "River: The Joni Letters." It also won "Best Contemporary Jazz Album." Hancock praised his musical idols for their inspiration.

"And I'd like to thank the academy for courageously breaking the mould this time. (Applause.) And in doing so, honor the giants upon whose shoulders I stand. Some of whom Miles Davis and John Coltrane."
Alicia Keys was the winner of the "Best Female R&B Performer" award. She now has nearly a dozen Grammys to her name.

"I have to thank you so much, first to God, because God has brought me through such a tremendous journey. I want to, I want to thank you for that. I have to thank my angels that surround me all the time in heaven,
especially my grandmother, who's with me every day. I have to thank all of the people that love me and support me in every way."
American Idol alumni Carrie Underwood performed her hit single, "Before He Cheats." That earned her "Best Country Song of the Year" and "Best Female Country Vocal Performance" Grammys this year.
Kanye West won four Grammys, putting him in second place behind Amy Winehouse. He led all Grammy contenders with eight nominations going into the Grammys this year.
Producer George Martin and his son Giles won "Best Compilation Soundtrack Album For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media" for The Beatles tribute album "Love." It features music compiled and
remixed for the Cirque du Soleil show in Las Vegas of the same name.

"My name is Ringo. A long time ago, we made these records with my good friends John, Paul and George. And, uh, George Martin was involved then. And now George Martin and his son Giles are involved again, and they did a great job on this music. And with Cirque du Soleil it turned into a beautiful dream."
Earlier, Hollywood actor Tom Hanks introduced a tribute to The Beatles, describing their music as a revolution which "changed the history of our planet."
