- 50 Cent is to executive produce a documentary about the life of Jam Master Jay titled "Two Turntables and a Microphone"
- Dr Dre is suing former friend and author Bruce Williams for an unpaid loan of $100,000.
- Jay Z had to perform a double set at JAMN 94.5s Monster Jam concert in Boston, as Lil Wayne refused to comply with security after a member of his entourage set off the metal detectors.
- Common missed a fatal shooting by a few hours after a man was shot dead in a barber shop in Brooklyn, new york where common was getting his hair cut a few hours earlier.
